Donald R. Brubaker, Jr. - Principal Architect
I was a principal of Gilleland Brubaker Architects from 1995 to 2013. I started with the firm, formally known as Gilleland Hunt Architects, in 1980 while studying architecture as an undergraduate at Arizona State University, and worked for the firm full time since graduation in 1983. Early on I exhibited design talent as well as organizational and communication skills, which quickly advanced me to positions of responsibility and leadership.
I am a registered architect in Arizona. My three decades of experience in the profession has earned me the respect of educational leaders throughout the state of Arizona. I have overseen the design and construction of a dozen high schools and middle schools, nearly 50 elementary schools and scores of other educational projects on elementary, high school and junior college campuses.
My skill set adds continuity, strength, and commitment to the future of ONE! As a principal architect I oversee the cultivation of new prospective national clients and the maintaining of old ones. I bring stability to our team by helping our employees and affiliates create strong ties within their own communities, keeping them current with continuing education and providing a standard of quality and consistency they can all abide by.
